BBC Children in Need give grants to projects that involve children and young people of 18 years and under experiencing disadvantage through:
- Illness, distress, abuse or neglect
- Any kind of disability
- Behavioural or psychological difficulties
- Living in poverty or situations of deprivation
The Small Grants Programme is for grants of up to £10,000 per year for up to three years (so a total request of £30,000). In this programme Children in Need are looking to support projects where a relatively small amount of money can make a big difference for children and young people.
Next deadline: 3 March 2019
Applications of £10,000 or more, should demonstrate how the project will change the lives of children for the better. Projects funded make differences in children’s lives that help prevent or overcome the effects of the disadvantages they face. They achieve these differences by either working directly with children or seeking to improve their social and physical environments.
Next deadline: 13 January 2019
