Centenary of Votes for Women – events in North Tyneside

North Tyneside Women’s Voices (NTWV) is organising a series of events to celebrate this centenary – all welcome to attend.

  • Tuesday 27 February: “Unsung Warriors – suffrage activity in the North East” at White Swan Centre, Citadel East,  Killingworth, 7pm
  • Thursday 8 March: “Hens that want to Crow – suffragettes and suffragists in the North Eeast” at St Columba’s Church Hall, Northumberland Square, North Shields, 7pm
  • Saturday 10 March: In conjunction with North Tyneside Youth Council: “Celebrating Suffrage” – an afternoon of debate, quiz and performance at the Exchange, Howard Street, North Shields

All events are free, funded by the Womens Vote Centenary Fund.
