Lloyds Banking Group Social Entrepreneurs Programme (Grant – England)

This programme is intended to support social entrepreneurs from across the UK to start or scale-up their projects. The programme has three levels, all including a learning programme and mentoring:

  • Start Up (includes traditional grant): The project is in the planning stages or less than two years old. The project income is less than £15,000 a year. Applicants want to learn how to establish an organisation. £1,000.
  • Trade Up (includes Match Trading grant – grant-funding that pound-for-pound matches an increase in income from trading): The project was established at least a year ago, probably has at least one paid member of staff. The project income is more than £15,000 a year. Applicants want to learn how to strengthen an organisation’s finances and impact to build a solid foundation for scaling. Up to £4,000.
  • Scale Up (includes Match Trading grant): The project was probably established two or more years ago, and probably has two or more paid members of staff. The project income is more than £75,000 a year. Applicants want to learn how to scale an organisation from a solid foundation to create even more impact. Up to £7,000.
