There are so many benefits to volunteering – it’s a great way to give some of your time and skills for the benefit of others but also a fantastic way to learn new skills, meet new people, improve your CV and to have fun.

There are a huge range of volunteering opportunities available in North Tyneside – from short, one off activities such as helping out at a community event to regular voluntary roles in administration, and everything in between.

No matter what your interests, skill, experience or how much time you have to give, our Volunteer Centre can help to find a volunteering opportunity to suit you!

How to get involved:

  • Explore the opportunities available to you locally on the Do It website, a national database of volunteering opportunities
  • Get in touch with VODA – we can provide one-to-one advice and information about volunteering and help to find the right opportunity for you
  • Volunteer as a trustee – if you are thinking about volunteering, why not consider becoming the trustee of a local charity or community group?
  • If you need some support – VODA can help you to overcome any barriers to volunteering you may be experiencing. Read more about our Supported Volunteering service.
