Volunteers’ Week film – call for contributions!

In recognition of Volunteers’ Week (1 to 7 June), we are putting together a short film offering a collective ‘thank you’ to all those people who give up their time to volunteer in North Tyneside.

We are asking organisations to send us a short film of their beneficiaries talking about the difference that volunteers make to their lives. Films should be no more than 20 seconds long and should follow the format below (replacing the text in red):

“I would like to thank volunteers at VODA’s Good Neighbours Project. They have helped me to do my shopping and make new friends. Without them I would not be able to get out of the house and socialise with others.

Tips

  • Make sure you are close to the person you’re filming to get good sound
  • Film somewhere bright but not directly in front of a window
  • If you’re filming on your mobile phone hold it long-ways (landscape)

Please send your films to robin.fry@voda.org.uk by using the website www.wetransfer.com – this is a quick, easy and free file sharing website.

Deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday 25 May. You are very welcome to send more than one film.

We will post the completed film online during Volunteers’ Week for you all to share.

Thanks in advance!
