Join us for our first Working With the VCS event of 2020. The event will focus on how, collectively, we can make North Tyneside even safer.

The voluntary and community sector plays a huge role in ensuring our residents feel safe in their local communities. From Street Pastors to Youth Workers to Neighbourhood Watch Groups, the sector helps to tackle anti social behaviour and build community cohesion.

This free event will provide partners from the voluntary, public and private sectors with the opportunity to:

  • hear about changes to local child and adult safeguarding arrangements
  • understand how to access training and support around safeguarding
  • explore some of the key community safety issues affecting the borough
  • highlight the important role that the VCS plays in keeping North Tyneside residents safe

This is a free event open to staff and volunteers from all North Tyneside-based organisations.

Location: Whitley Bay Big Local, 158 Whitley Road, Whitley Bay, NE26 2LY

Time: Refreshments will be served from 9.30am. The event will start at 9.45am.
