As the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to impact so many aspects of our lives, the Lottery wants to fund projects that demonstrate the value of heritage to our national life and which support local economies, places and communities.
Between April 2021 and March 2022, when making funding decisions, they will prioritise heritage projects that:
- boost the local economy
- encourage skills development and job creation
- support wellbeing
- create better places to live, work and visit
- improve the resilience of organisations working in heritage
Their inclusion outcome – a wider range of people will be involved in heritage – remains mandatory for all projects they fund.
In addition, all projects must demonstrate they are environmentally responsible and are integrating environmental measures into their projects.
Read the guidance carefully before applying
Please take your time to read the updated National Lottery Grants for Heritage guidance and supporting information before you apply.
Carefully consider the best way to shape your activity and how you are going to manage it. We expect to receive a high number of applications, and we will need to prioritise where our investment can make a significant difference.
