Ofgem Energy Redress Scheme

Applications are now open for the first funding round in phase three of the Energy Redress Scheme, with £30 million available to support energy-related projects across England, Scotland and Wales.

Community energy groups – including co-operatives, community benefit societies, community interest companies and registered charities – can apply for grants to support households most at risk from cold homes and high energy bills. The scheme also supports projects that develop innovative energy-related products or services, helping people to reduce their carbon emissions and take greater control of their energy use.

The funding streams available are:

  • The Main Fund (£19 million) – for projects seeking £50,000 to £2 million to support households in vulnerable situations.
  • The Impact Fund (£1 million) – for projects monitoring the impact of energy advice and interventions, with grants from £20,000 to £500,000.
  • The Small Project Fund (£1 million) – for projects seeking £20,000 to £49,999 to support households in vulnerable situations.
  • The Innovation Fund (£4.5 million) – for projects developing innovative products or services, with grants from £20,000 to £1 million.
  • The Carbon Emissions Reduction Fund (£3 million) – for projects that reduce UK carbon emissions and support households to lower their carbon footprint, with grants from £20,000 to £1 million.
  • The Just Transition Fund (£1.5 million) – for projects developing community renewable energy to benefit vulnerable energy consumers, with grants from £20,000 to £250,000.

Organisations can submit one application as a lead partner per round across all funds, with funding rounds launching quarterly. This round is open from 2 June 2026 and closes at 5pm on 23 June 2026.
