Peer Support and Activity Development – Young People
Calling young people that want to make a difference in their communities!
Are you aged 16-18? Would you like to help shape our new youth services?
We are looking for people that are outgoing, creative, & imaginative who understand the challenges faced by young people living in North Tyneside. You will be involved in developing new groups and services for young people aged 13 to 18, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved in a volunteering role that you can help shape.
DreamShine is a Community Interest Company that was set up to help improve people’s life chances and well-being in North East England. Until the Covid-19 outbreak we ran a range of groups and funded activities. Our focus now is helping to ensure that no-one in our local community is left behind and that everyone has someone that they can turn to, during this Global emergency.
What skills do I need?
- Good listening skills
- Able to engage with people on their level
- Understand the challenges faced by young people living in North Tyneside
- Be able to connect and engage with other young people
- Age restrictions
- Child Protection Policy (where relevant)
- DBS check required

Via our Well bee-ing hub & Café, via phone, and email
- Training provided
Internal – we may also offer Diversity Training/Autism Awareness and any other training that we feel is needed and bring in external providers
