Social Store Volunteer
Background
We have set up the Fish Quay Hub as a way of supporting people;- who are homeless, at risk of becoming homelessness, those who are facing issues due to poverty and or loneliness.
We offer a warm, welcoming, comfortable and safe environment where everyone is welcome.
Our venue also operates a Cafe/Bistro and an events space business which will provide meaningful work experience and employment opportunities for people. The proceeds from this will go to providing services to those who are in need.
The hub also supports those struggling with fuel poverty by providing clothes washing and drying facilities and a shower which is free to use for those who need it.
Opportunity
We provide a social store where people can 'take what they need and pay what they can'. We need volunteers who will serve the social store customers, keep the area tidy, complete stock checks and restock the items. Take customer feedback and problem solve.
Meet and greeting people dropping off donations.
Sorting donations and organising storage areas.
Volunteering alongside hub users and supporting them.
