UKSPF – Capital Grant Funding

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund North Tyneside Community Partnership Capital Grant aims to support community initiatives in Weetslade, Camperdown, and Longbenton wards by funding the fabric and infrastructure of buildings

  • VCSE organisations with an income of less than £2m in North Tyneside can apply for grants to support the fabric and infrastructure of their building.
  • The fund prioritises activities that build strong relationships, increase community capacity, and provide opportunities for residents to shape local issues and services.
  • Projects must take place within the target wards and benefit residents within those areas.

The capital grant scheme will follow the same process of an application, grants panel and assessment.

Priority areas for funding include activities that promote community-building, increase the capacity of voluntary and community organisations, and provide opportunities for residents to participate in local decision-making.

  • Grants can be used for refurbishment of existing facilities (e.g. re decoration, new windows, a new lift, a new heating system, an installation of a ramp, a refurbishment of facilities etc.)
  • Grants can be used for additional building work to increase delivery
  • Organisations must have an income of less than £2m, and activities must be charitable in nature.
  • A total of £400,000 is available for the Capital Grant to be shared across multiple projects.

This is an open-period grant fund running until Midnight on 28th June 2024. Applications will be assessed the first week in July.

Please download and read the guidance document in full and ensure you meet the criteria before applying.
