Through this programme, run by the School for Social Entrepreneurs, early stage Community Businesses can apply for grants to improve their income from trading and to improve their impact and sustainability.
Community Business Trade Up provides:
- a learning programme: 12 days spread over nine months (April – December 2020). Taking place in Cornwall, Bristol, Hampshire, Liverpool, London, Midlands and York.
- a non-repayable investment of £2,000 – £10,000, depending on how much income from trading increases. Community businesses applying must have strong and realistic plans for growth over the next year to increase income from trading by at least £10,000 from April 2020 to March 2021. £10,000 of funding will be set aside for the community business, of which they will receive £2,000 when they start the programme. They will then be able to claim the rest of the money in instalments at the end of each quarter over a period of 12 months.
Up to £10,000 (match funding). Community businesses.
Deadline: 27 November (opens 17th September).
