The Wolfson Foundation Funding for Hospices and Palliative Care Organisations

UK hospices and palliative care organisations can apply for grants of up to £150,000 to support capital costs for new buildings, refurbishments, or equipment purchases.

Your organisation should be a registered charity or hospice operating within the NHS.

Your project should:

  • be for a new building, refurbishment work or equipment
  • include capital costs of at least £50,000
  • have a shortfall in capital funding of at least £25,000

Your project should also address at least one of the following aims:

  • Increased access to services for new and existing users
  • Improved quality and range of services
  • Improved future sustainability of the organisation

Match funding is required for projects costing over £50,000. The funding is being made available through the Wolfson Foundation.

Applications follow a two-stage process, with the deadline for Stage 1 submissions on 1 July 2025. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full application by 1 September 2025.
