Dyslexia North East is a group of dedicated volunteers who care passionately about the educational opportunities for dyslexic people and their aspirations for the future. Its vision is to create a society that celebrates difference, and to raise awareness, understanding and knowledge about dyslexia to improve the positive impact it has on people’s lives.
Dyslexia North East is seeking new volunteers to help extend the work and outreach of the charity.
The Trustees meet every 1 to 2 months in Newcastle upon Tyne, with small group work in addition to provide support and ideas to help with fundraising, conferences, networking and outreach.
The charity is looking for Trustees who are outward-looking and who understand about the importance of helping people with dyslexia and their families, and to improve their life opportunities in the community and the workplace.
If you are interested, please contact Dyslexia North East at their Office base in Meadow Well Connected, Waterville Road, North Shields NE29 6BA.
Dyslexia North East’s AGM takes place on 9 January 2019 – anyone interested in learning more about the charity and its work is welcome to call 0191 466 1299 and to attend the event.
