Woodland Trust: Free Trees

The Woodland Trust is offering free tree packs to schools and community groups across the UK, aiming to enhance local green spaces and promote environmental education.

Each pack contains a selection of native tree species suitable for various planting projects, from creating wildlife habitats to establishing shelterbelts. The initiative is part of the Trust’s broader mission to increase woodland cover and engage communities in conservation efforts.

To apply, eligible organisations can complete the online application form provided by the Woodland Trust. Successful applicants will receive their tree packs in November 2025. The Trust encourages prompt applications, as availability is limited and demand is typically high.

By participating in this scheme, schools and community groups not only contribute to the UK’s tree planting goals but also provide educational opportunities and environmental benefits for their local areas.

These packs are scheduled for delivery in November 2025, with applications expected to close in August.
