Hugo Burge Foundation’s Creative Grants Programme

Organisations, community groups and creatives across the UK can now apply for funding through the Hugo Burge Foundation’s Creative Grants Programme, designed to support arts, crafts and wider creative activity.

The programme is open through three strands, each targeting a different area of creativity. Creative Education focuses on projects that engage young people aged 0–29 in creative activity. This can include school workshops, trips to cultural venues, and the purchase of materials to enhance learning and participation.

The Creative Communities strand supports organisations, festivals and community groups delivering arts and cultural activity at a local level. Funding can be used for initiatives such as community arts festivals, fairs and creative events that bring people together.

For individual creatives, the Creative Individuals strand offers funding to artists aged 18 and over. This includes practitioners working across visual arts, writing, crafts and other creative disciplines, helping them develop new work or progress artistic projects.

Grants of up to £15,000 are available for Creative Education and Creative Communities applications, while Creative Individuals can apply for up to £5,000.

The fund is open to a wide range of applicants, including schools, charities, local authorities, arts organisations, festivals and individual artists. In addition, an access support fund of £7,000 is available to help remove barriers to applying, contributing towards support workers for those who may need assistance.

The deadline for applications is 31 July 2026.
