Postcode Neighbourhood Trust Grants

The Postcode Neighbourhood Trust funding window is now open, offering organisations in the North of England the opportunity to apply for up to £50,000 over three years.

This programme provides unrestricted, multi-year funding, designed to give organisations flexibility, strengthen their work and support long-term impact.

Who can apply

Applications are open to organisations with an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million in their most recent financial year, including:

  • Registered charities
  • Community Interest Companies (CICs) with an asset lock (Schedule 1 and 2 only)
  • Community Benefit Societies

Funding priorities

Projects must focus on at least one of the following themes:

  • Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
  • Enabling participation in the arts
  • Supporting marginalised groups and tackling inequality
  • Improving mental health, with a focus on organisations addressing specific mental health issues as a core purpose

Priority considerations

Funding rounds are often oversubscribed. Priority may be given to organisations that:

  • Have an income of £250,000 or less
  • Work in areas within the top 15% of the Index of Multiple Deprivation
  • Primarily support marginalised groups, including disabled people, communities experiencing racial inequity, and LGBT+ people
  • Are based in areas that have not recently received funding

About the funding

This funding is designed to be flexible, allowing organisations to respond to need, strengthen delivery and build sustainability over time.

There are three funding rounds in 2026, each open for eight days, with decisions typically made within four to five weeks of the deadline.

Key dates

  • Round 2 opens: 24 June 2026 (9am)
  • Deadline: 1 July 2026 (12 noon)
