Asda Foundation Foodbank Fundamentals Fund

Foodbanks and organisations tackling food poverty can apply for funding through the Asda Foundation’s Foodbank Fundamentals Fund.

The fund is designed to support organisations whose primary purpose is distributing food and alleviating food poverty within their local communities. Grants of up to £1,000 are available to help foodbanks and food providers cover essential costs and continue meeting growing demand.

Funding can be used to stock up on food supplies, purchase equipment, expand services, or support the day-to-day delivery of food provision activities.

The Asda Foundation launched the programme in response to ongoing cost-of-living pressures and the increasing demand placed on foodbanks and community food providers. The funding aims to help grassroots organisations strengthen their services and build resilience within local communities.

Applications are open now, but organisations are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

The programme closes at 10am on 22 September.

Eligible applicants must be not-for-profit organisations with a primary aim of supporting food distribution and provision.

Full guidance, eligibility criteria and application details are available on the Asda Foundation website.
