Grassroots organisations in England can now apply for funding through the Comic Relief Community Fund (England), delivered by Groundwork.
The programme offers grants of up to £5,000 to community-led organisations that create positive change in their local areas and draw on the lived experiences of the people they support.
For 2026/27, the fund is particularly interested in projects that address:
- Homelessness and cost of living challenges
- Early childhood development
- Prevention of violence against women and girls
- Support for refugees and asylum seekers
Funding can be used for project costs, core costs, or a combination of both. A total funding pot of more than £600,000 will be distributed to around 120 organisations across England.
Applications close at 5pm on 30 September 2026. Successful projects must be completed by 30 September 2027.
Organisations must be based in the same region where their project will be delivered. Existing recipients of a 2025/26 Comic Relief Community Fund grant may also apply, provided their current project and reporting requirements have been completed by the application deadline.
