Henry Smith Foundation: Holiday Grants Oct-Dec 26

Schools, youth groups and non-profit organisations can now apply for funding through the Henry Smith Foundation’s Holiday Grants Programme, which supports recreational trips for children aged 13 and under.

Grants of £500 to £3,000 are available to help fund day trips and short residential breaks of up to seven days. The programme aims to provide fun, enriching experiences that boost wellbeing, build confidence and create lasting memories for children facing financial hardship, systemic inequity or disability.

The fund prioritises organisations supporting disabled children and those working in disadvantaged communities. Popular activities include camping trips, outdoor adventures and seaside visits.

Eligible organisations include schools, youth groups and UK-based non-profit organisations with an annual income below £2 million. Trips must take place within the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands and must be recreational in nature, rather than educational or religious.

Applications for trips taking place between 1 October and 31 December 2026 are open until 19 November 2026.

Applications must be submitted at least six weeks before the planned trip.

Organisations should complete the programme’s eligibility checker before starting an application. Full guidance and application details are available on the Henry Smith Foundation website.
