National Churches Trust Grants

The National Churches Trust supports repair, maintenance and development projects in churches, chapels and meeting houses across the UK that are open for regular worship. Their grants help ensure these buildings remain open and able to serve their communities.

Large Grants

Grants of up to £50,000 are available for major urgent structural repair projects costing more than £80,000 (including VAT).

Medium Grants

Grants of £3,000–£10,000 support project development (up to RIBA Stage 1), local church trusts, and urgent repair projects costing £20,000–£80,000.

Small Grants

Small, urgent maintenance or investigative works can receive grants usually ranging from £500–£5,000 (occasionally up to £10,000).

Deadlines

The grant programme accepts applications on a rolling basis, with no fixed deadlines.
