Residents, community groups and voluntary organisations in Percy Main can now apply for funding through the new Pride in Place Community Grants Programme, designed to support projects that strengthen connections, improve wellbeing and build pride in the local area.
The programme aims to support activities that respond to priorities identified by local people and help create a cleaner, safer and more connected community. Funding is available through two grant schemes.
Small Community Grants (£200 – £1,000)
Small Community Grants are available to individuals, resident groups, volunteer-led groups and small community organisations. Funding can support projects such as community clean-up days, local celebrations, activities that reduce social isolation, intergenerational projects, community gardening and improvements to shared spaces.
Applications should demonstrate how the project will bring people together, encourage residents to contribute to their community and create benefits for the wider Percy Main neighbourhood.
Every Generation Grants (£1,000 – £10,000)
Larger grants are available for VCSE organisations delivering projects that benefit Percy Main residents. Eligible activities could include children and young people’s projects, support for older people, health and wellbeing activities, skills development, employability programmes, volunteering opportunities, environmental initiatives and community safety projects.
Projects must show how they will strengthen community relationships, increase participation, develop skills and confidence, improve neighbourhood pride and deliver lasting benefits beyond the funding period.
How to Apply
Both grant programmes are part of the wider Pride in Place investment in Percy Main, which seeks to create opportunities for residents of all ages to connect, participate and thrive.
Applications are open until 13 November.
