The foundation’s objectives are to support:
- Social welfare, particularly the relief of need, hardship and distress
- Community development
- Work which supports children, young people and the elderly, local hospitals and hospices
- Christian activities
- The arts
- Environmental projects
Grants can be one-off or recurrent and are made primarily in Tyneside and Northumberland.
You can apply in writing to info@thesquiresfoundation.com. Although there are no deadlines, the Trustees meet twice a year, usually in May and November, with applications needing to be received by the beginning of April and October.
