Help With Shopping
Shopping volunteers provide practical support for residents who are unable to shop for themselves. This may involve collecting a shopping list, picking up groceries and delivering them safely to someone’s home. As well as meeting practical needs, this role offers vital social contact for people who may otherwise feel isolated.
Help With Odd Jobs
Odd jobs volunteers support residents with small practical tasks around the home and garden. From changing a light bulb or securing a loose carpet to putting up shelves or moving small items, these simple jobs can significantly improve someone’s comfort and safety at home.
Help With Gardening
Gardening volunteers are especially needed for the gardening season, which runs from April to September. Volunteers carry out one‑off garden tidy‑ups such as clearing paths, cutting back overgrown areas and reducing slip or trip hazards. These tasks help residents feel safe using their outdoor space again.
How It Works
To make volunteering easy, all opportunities are shared through the Volunteero app. Volunteers can quickly choose roles based on location, availability and interest. You can volunteer on your own, team up with others, or get involved as part of a workplace volunteering day, with support available at every stage.
