Warm Welcome Funding Winter 2026/27

Warm, welcoming spaces will once again open their doors across North Tyneside this winter, with applications now open for community organisations and schools wanting to take part in the 2026/27 Warm Welcome programme.

The initiative helps residents stay warm, connected and supported during the colder months by offering free, safe and inclusive spaces where people can enjoy hot drinks, take part in activities and access advice and support.

This year, the scheme is being expanded to include schools, enabling them to deliver Warm Welcome sessions and after-school activities that provide additional support for children and families throughout the winter period.

North Tyneside Council is inviting schools, community organisations, voluntary groups and social enterprises across North Tyneside to apply for funding to host Warm Welcome sessions from their buildings. Sessions must be free to attend and offer a welcoming environment where residents can drop in, enjoy a hot drink or a meal and take part in activities that encourage social connection and wellbeing.

The deadline for applying is Monday 28th September 2026.
