Welfare Grants Programme – Family Action

Families facing financial hardship can receive small grants to help purchase essential household items. The grants typically range from £200 to £300 for items such as beds, cookers, and fridge-freezers.

Applicants must be referred by recognised agencies and belong to priority groups, including those affected by mental health issues, domestic abuse, or old age.

The programme supports individuals receiving means-tested benefits who are under exceptional pressure, and there is no deadline for applications.

The initiative is delivered by the national charity Family Action through its Welfare Grants Programme – Family Action
