Arnold Clark: Gear Up for Sport

Applications are now open for Arnold Clark’s Gear Up for Sport programme. The scheme offers free, high‑quality sports kits to youth teams across Scotland, England and Wales. It is designed to support grassroots clubs by providing branded kits for young players aged 4 to 15. This helps reduce costs for families and ensures teams can take part with confidence.

What’s Included

Successful clubs can receive kit for up to 30 young people. This can include:

  • Match strips
  • Tracksuits and hoodies
  • Training wear

All items are supplied and delivered directly to the club free of charge.

Who Can Apply

The programme is open to youth teams with members aged 4–15. A wide range of sports are eligible, including:

Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Curling, Cycling, Dance, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Ice Hockey, Martial Arts, Netball, Paddle, Pickleball, Rugby, Running, Shinty, Swimming, Tennis and Volleyball.

How to Apply

A coach or club official must complete the application using the Grants Connect online portal. Each club can apply for only one team.

After applying:

  • Most decisions are made within four weeks
  • Kit orders are usually placed within six weeks

The funding round is now open, and clubs are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Arnold Clark created Gear Up for Sport to help young people access high‑quality sports kit without added financial pressure. The programme supports a wide range of clubs and aims to strengthen local communities by helping young athletes take part in sport comfortably and confidently.
