Barchester Charitable Foundation

Barchester’s Charitable Foundation supports projects that combat isolation and loneliness by connecting or reconnecting older people and adults with disabilities or mental health problems to their local communities.

Funding Available

Individual Grants – Up to £1,000 For purchasing or adapting mobility equipment for outdoor use (£100-£1,000). Applications must be completed by a third party who knows the individual in a professional or community-based capacity.

Group Grants – Up to £2,500 For community groups and local charities to fund activities, outings, equipment, and materials for members or service users (£100-£2,500).

Who Can Apply

  • Community health professionals (for individual applications)
  • Community groups
  • Registered charities

All applicants must focus on enabling people to be active and engaged in their local communities.

Application Process

Group applications are accepted in January, April, July, and October. Applicants will be notified of the outcome within two months. You can apply for an individual at any time.
