BlueSpark Foundation Grants for Children & Young People

BlueSpark funds small projects that support the education and development of children and young people aged 5–22 through educational, cultural, sporting and other enrichment activities. The focus is on projects that build confidence, teamwork and future employability.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must be based in England, and projects must be specific, not general running costs. Schools, community groups, clubs, not‑for‑profits and individuals may apply.

What They Don’t Fund

BlueSpark does not fund:

  • Work for under‑5s or over‑22s
  • Mentoring, counselling, holiday clubs or playgroups
  • Building or maintenance work
  • Training for adults
  • Student fees or maintenance
  • Services delivered by an organisation to a third party (the beneficiary organisation should apply directly)

Funding Available

BlueSpark supports small‑scale projects that might not happen without their help.

  • Most grants are under £2,000
  • No grants exceed £5,000
  • Funding must form a significant proportion of project costs
  • Clear, detailed costings are required

What Grants Can Cover

Applications must state exactly what the grant will fund—such as equipment, tuition, specialist services, or experiences like theatre visits.

Application Notes

All applications must be submitted via the online form. Trustees may meet applicants to discuss proposals. Repeat grants are possible but BlueSpark does not act as an ongoing income stream for any organisation.
