These Awards shine a spotlight on the people and organisations who go above and beyond to support residents, strengthen communities and make a real difference across the borough.

Award Categories

  • Organisation of the Year – recognising a local group making a lasting impact.

  • Volunteer of the Year – for an adult volunteer (aged 19+) who has shown outstanding commitment.

  • Young Volunteer of the Year – for a young person or group (aged 19 or under) making a positive difference.

  • Trustee of the Year – for a trustee who has given exceptional dedication and leadership.

What We’re Looking For

When making a nomination, detail is key; we’re looking for quality of nominations, not quantity. Judges want to see clear examples of the difference your nominee makes, what sets them apart and the impact of their work. To help you write a strong entry, read our 10 Tips for Nominating.

Key Dates

  • Deadline for nominations: Thursday 23 October 2025

  • Winners announced: Tuesday 11 November 2025 at VODA’s AGM – book your place here.
