Green Opportunities Fund

The £2.2m Green Opportunities Fund, delivered by the Co‑op Foundation in partnership with Co‑op, supports organisations across the UK that help young people aged 14–20 develop green skills and consider green career pathways.

What the Fund Supports

The fund aims to back initiatives that:

  • Inspire young people to understand green skills
  • Encourage young people to explore and pursue green jobs and careers
  • Provide opportunities that build awareness, confidence or practical skills linked to the green economy

Who Can Apply

The fund is open to:

  • Charities
  • Community Interest Companies (CICs)
  • Co‑operatives
  • Community Benefit Societies

Funding Available

A share of a £2.2m national fund, distributed across multiple organisations whose work aligns with the fund’s aims.

Key Dates

  • Applications open: Midday, Wednesday 18 March
  • Applications close: Midday, Friday 17 April

A free information webinar will take place on Wednesday 18 March, 11am–12pm.
It will cover how the fund was developed, the research behind it, and the types of organisations and initiatives the fund aims to support.
