Hedley Foundation

The Hedley Foundation provides grants to small charities across the UK that support people facing a wide range of challenges. Each year, the Foundation helps hundreds of organisations improve lives and create new opportunities.

Funding is available to UK-registered charities with an annual income of under £1 million. Priority is given to those working with children and young people in areas such as recreation, sport, training, health and wellbeing, support services and outdoor education. Support is also provided for projects benefiting older people, individuals receiving end-of-life care, people experiencing homelessness and those with experience of the criminal justice system.

Most grants are up to £5,000, with occasional larger awards. Many smaller charities benefit from grants starting at £250.

The Trustees meet four times a year, and applications must be submitted at least six weeks before the meeting dates.

Upcoming deadlines: 26 February, 4 June, 27 August.
