Henry Smith Foundation: Equity in Justice Fund

The Henry Smith Foundation is set to launch its new Equity in Justice Fund, offering significant funding to organisations delivering specialist support to racially minoritised young men aged 18–25 who are in contact with the criminal justice system.

With grants of up to £200,000 over three to five years, the fund aims to invest in organisations providing long-term, person-centred and holistic services that respond to the specific needs of this group. Eligible organisations must be registered not-for-profits operating in the UK, with at least 18 months’ experience delivering relevant support and a clear commitment to embedding lived experience within their services and governance.

To support potential applicants, the Foundation will host a live webinar on 23 June 2026 (2–3pm). The session will outline what the fund is looking for, who is eligible, and how to apply, along with an opportunity to ask questions. A recording and transcript will also be made available.

Applications will open on 24 June 2026, with an Expression of Interest deadline of 5 August 2026 (5pm).

Following this stage, shortlisted organisations will be invited to submit a full application, with final funding decisions expected by the end of December 2026.
