Ironmongers’ Company: STEM Grants

The Ironmongers’ Company is offering grants to support UK-registered charities and state schools working with young people under the age of 25. The focus is on projects that deliver hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and maths) education in ways that are both practical and engaging.

Funding is available for activities that:

  • Encourage young people to develop skills in STEM subjects

  • Involve creative, problem-solving approaches

  • Have a clear educational benefit and a lasting impact

Priority is given to projects that work with disadvantaged or underrepresented groups and that operate in areas of high deprivation.

The Foundation prefers to support smaller projects where it is the sole funder or its contribution makes a real difference. Grants of under £10,000 are considered.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate how the funding will make a measurable difference.

The Foundation Committee meets three times per year in January, May and September. The deadlines for receipt of applications are 1 December, 1 April and 1 August respectively.

More information, including eligibility criteria and how to apply, is available on the Ironmongers’ Company website: ironmongers.org/supporting-stem-projects
