The #iwill Fund 2025 is offering funding to projects that enable young people in England to take part in place-based youth social action – activities where young people address issues that matter most in their local communities. The Fund prioritises projects involving young people from low-income areas and aims to create long-term opportunities for engagement in social action.
Projects should be youth-led, challenging, and socially impactful, helping participants take part in meaningful activities such as volunteering, mentoring, or improving local environments. Applicants must show how projects will reach young people who have not regularly engaged in social action, ensure continued participation beyond the funding period, and involve young people in the design and delivery of the work.
The Fund, provided by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and The National Lottery Community Fund, expects to support 4–6 projects across England, with a total of £3 million available. Eligible applicants include voluntary and community organisations, registered charities, schools, statutory bodies, funders, and not-for-profit companies. Projects can receive matched funding of at least £200,000 and may include in-kind contributions. Projects will run until March 2027.
