KFC Youth Foundation grants

The KFC Youth Foundation is offering grants to grassroots organisations helping young people thrive in areas of high deprivation. Funding supports work with young people aged 11–25 that creates safe spaces, provides positive activities and builds life skills for a more secure future.

This includes programmes that develop confidence, resilience and job readiness.

Grant amount

Successful organisations can receive up to £6,000 over two years (£3,000 per year).

Key dates

  • Applications open: 30 January 2026

  • Deadline: 27 February 2026 (midday)

  • Outcomes announced: week commencing 20 April 2026

  • Grant payments: May 2026

Who is eligible

Organisations must:

  • Be a registered charity, CIO, CIC or CBS

  • Have an annual income under £400,000

  • Be based and operating in the UK

  • Deliver only youth-focused services

  • Support young people aged 11–25 in areas of high deprivation

  • Provide safe spaces, diversionary activities or life-skills support

  • Show positive results within 12 months

Organisations that support groups outside this focus are not eligible.

How to apply

Applications are made through the Foundation’s online portal. The process includes:

  • An eligibility questionnaire

  • A short application (written or a two-minute video)

  • Supporting documents such as accounts, safeguarding policy and governing document

Applications are assessed on local need, organisational stability, alignment with the Foundation’s priorities and how young people shape the organisation’s work.
