The Leathersellers’ Foundation has opened Expressions of Interest for its ACEs Main Grants Programme, now in its fifth year. The programme supports UK charities and CIOs working to prevent and reduce the harm caused by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Grants of £20,000–£25,000 per year for up to four years are available.
Expressions of Interest must be submitted online by 5pm on Thursday 30 April 2026. Around 50 organisations will be invited to make full applications, with approximately 25 multi‑year grants awarded.
Who Can Apply
The fund is open to UK charities and CIOs that:
- Have an annual income between £200,000 and £2,000,000
- Have at least one year of published accounts
- Use a trauma‑informed, evidence‑based approach
- Focus on preventing or reducing the harm of ACEs for children, young people or adults
- Can demonstrate that the majority of their service users have experienced ACEs
- Show that lived experience informs service design and delivery
Eligible organisations may apply for unrestricted funding, provided their work clearly supports people affected by ACEs. The programme welcomes applications from organisations supporting under‑represented communities and those working in Northern Ireland, North West England and the East Midlands.
What They Fund
Projects may include counselling, mentoring, accommodation support, recreational activities, community support and other interventions that address the impact of ACEs. Applications must show clear outcomes, value for money and strong safeguarding practices.

- EOI deadline: 5pm, Thursday 30 April 2026
- Invitations to apply: 10am, Thursday 18 June 2026
- Full application deadline (invited applicants only): 5pm, Thursday 16 July 2026
