Legal & General Health Equity Fund

In partnership with the UCL Institute of Health Equity, Legal & General has launched a new £3m ‘Health Equity’ Fund, designed to support projects run by organisations (e.g., charities, social enterprises, community groups) across the UK that address health inequalities.

This fund will support projects or ideas to address the social determinants of health e.g. to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities/improve health equity.

Charities, social enterprises, SMEs, community groups and others with ideas for relevant initiatives or early stage projects can apply for grant funding of up to £75,000 per project. The fund pilot in the North East is now live and will be rolling out to the whole country soon with the potential to support up to 150 place-based initiatives across the UK.

They have created the Health Equity Network – a platform to enable people who are doing great work on health equity in regions, towns, cities and organisations across the UK to share what they are doing with others, be inspired by what others are doing and collaborate in joint working.

To find out more about the Health Equity Fund, you must first register as a member of the network.
