Paul Hamlyn Foundation – Art Based Learning

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation is offering grants of £30,000 to £300,000 to arts organisations and charities working with schools, colleges, and other formal education settings across the UK. The fund aims to ensure that high-quality arts-based learning becomes a central part of every child’s education.

The fund supports projects that:

  • Foster partnerships between arts organisations and education settings, creating opportunities for mutual learning and expertise sharing.

  • Support pupils facing inequity, helping them overcome barriers and make progress in their learning.

  • Promote inclusion and diversity, including addressing racism in education.

  • Expand access to arts-based learning, especially in schools or colleges that have not previously had such opportunities.

  • Embed arts-based learning into the curriculum and school practice for long-term impact.

  • Build evidence and understanding of how arts-based learning contributes to greater equity for pupils.

Rolling applications: The fund operates on a rolling basis, so organisations can apply at any time. There are no deadlines, making it easier to plan and submit applications when ready.

This fund is an opportunity for organisations to strengthen the role of arts in education, ensuring that every pupil can benefit from creative, engaging, and equitable learning experiences.
