Shiremoor Adventure Playground Trust Young Volunteers Commendation

We were delighted to present the young volunteers from the Shiremoor Adventure Playground Trust with a commendation from our VCSE awards. This group of young people have supported the trust throughout the pandemic and the awards panel felt that they deserved recognition for their efforts.
The young people undertook a number of tasks throughout the summer programme including; managing bookings, registering visitors when they arrived at the Playground, supporting visitors to be covid aware and safe during their visits, befriending children who had not been to the Playground before, helping to prepare, cook and serve the meals and snacks for the healthy eating programme, facilitating arts and crafts activities, helping to serve in the very busy community cafe, helping to tidy up and litter pick on the Playground and running several self-initiated fundraising events.
Congratulations to: Pearl Hope, Lilli-Mai Skeleton, Luke Norton, Darcey Olsen, Demi Dack, Mia Mawson (pictured) and also Layton Longstaff and Emily Starkie, who were unable to attend the presentation.
