Survey: How VCSEs Are Leveraging AI

Recent reports show charities and organisations are starting to get to grips with AI tools and technology. According to the Digital Skill Report 2024, popular uses of AI tools are creating online content, administrative tasks, drafting documents and generating new ideas. Whilst using these tools is a great way to help with workflows and support work responsibilities, it is important to make sure you’re using these tools responsibly, with 57% of charities seeking external support this year. Researchers from Northumbria University and VODA are interested in how charities and organisations are integrating AI into their work.

We would like you to reflect on your and your organisation’s relationship with AI.

For those actively using AI:

  • What benefits and challenges have you encountered?
  • Are you prepared to respond to the opportunities and risks AI brings?

Only 22% of charities feel ready, with many expressing concerns about data privacy and security.

But what if your organisation isn’t using AI?

  • Is it due to specific challenges, uncertainties, or a lack of relevance?
  • Or perhaps AI hasn’t yet seemed like a priority.

Understanding what may be holding organisations back or sparking hesitation is just as valuable as exploring its use.

Whether you’re using AI or not, we’d love to hear about your experiences or thoughts. By sharing insights, we can gain a fuller picture of AI’s role and potential in charities and community organisations! Take part in this short online survey here. Survey closes 22 November 2024.
