UK charities and community groups working to improve homes, community buildings or outdoor spaces can apply for funding through the B&Q Foundation Grant Programme.
The B&Q Foundation offers grants of up to £5,000 to UK-registered charities and not-for-profit organisations that support vulnerable people through housing-related projects. This includes work that provides safe, warm, accessible spaces for individuals and communities affected by:
- Poor or unsafe living conditions
- Homelessness
- Financial hardship
- Limited access to suitable community facilities
What Type of Projects Does the B&Q Foundation Fund?
The foundation supports a wide range of practical, community-focused initiatives that make a real difference to people’s living environments. Previously funded projects include:
- Renovating kitchens or bathrooms in supported housing
- Improving accessibility for disabled people
- Refurbishing community halls, shelters, or centres
- Creating safe and welcoming outdoor spaces for vulnerable groups
