The Great Community Garden Crawl of North Tyneside

During the weekend of 13-14 July, from 10 am to 3 pm, eight local gardens, allotments and organisations will open their doors to the public to share their wonderful spaces! Each one is unique, but they all share a passion for growing, and looking after their communities!

What to expect

A weekend full of garden tours, activities for everyone, nature crafts, workshops, live music and more at these wonderful local gardens, right on your doorstep!

The 1st Great Community Garden Crawl is a collaborative effort between the Grow & Eat project and eight garden members of the Garden Network of North Tyneside. It’s the first such event organised by the network, and we hope it won’t be the last!

The Schedule

On Saturday 13 July the following gardens will be open:

Lovaine Community Garden in North Shields

The allotment at Quorum Park

Secret Garden Club at Whitley Bay Young People’s Centre

Station Master’s Community and Wildlife Garden in Whitley Bay

West Moor Community Centre

On Sunday the 14 July the following gardens will be open:

The Meadows Community Centre in Meadow Well

Whitley Bay Community Allotment and Orchard in Whitley Bay

YMCA North Tyneside in North Shields
