The New Allotment Site Fund

Green Allotments is offering funding to help create new community allotment sites across England, with up to £50,000 available per acre of land. The charity aims to promote community-led management and environmental stewardship, ensuring allotments are protected and sustainable for the future.

Who can apply:

  • Permanent residents in England, aged 18 or over

  • Individuals or groups passionate about allotments and willing to collaborate with Green Allotments

  • Not open to councils or statutory organisations

What’s involved:
Applicants are encouraged to identify suitable land for a potential allotment site before getting in touch. Green Allotments will purchase and retain ownership of the land, safeguarding it as a not-for-profit community asset.

There is no application form or deadline – simply contact Green Allotments with basic details about yourself, your location, and the land you have in mind.

Funding available: Up to £50,000 per acre
How to apply: Submit your information via email (info@greenallotments.org.uk) or through Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, or LinkedIn.
