The P&G Fund

The purpose of the P & G Fund is to support charitable organisations working with people experiencing hardship and/or disadvantage.

It is keen to see applications supporting one or more of the following demographics: Children, disability, ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+, older people and women.

Grants up to £5,000 for projects such as those addressing poverty; support for victims of crime; debt and benefit advice; addressing social isolation, and mental health/wellbeing.

Criteria

In addition to the Community Foundation’s criteria found on their website:

  • The charitable organisation must be based and working within Tyne & Wear and/or Northumberland (no national charities)
  • Have an average annual income of between £100k and £500k (since 31/03/22)

What the Fund will support

  • Direct activity costs, including staffing costs and volunteer expenses, organisational overheads
  • Project resources and equipment
  • Organisational core costs

Timescales

Deadline for applications: 18 August 2025

The P & G Fund advisory panel is expected to hold the grant decision meeting in late September 2025.
