The Weavers’ Company Benevolent Fund

The Weavers’ Company Benevolent Fund provides grants to UK-registered charities and charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs) supporting people impacted by the criminal justice system and young people facing disadvantage. In exceptional cases, Community Interest Companies (CICs) may also be considered.

Funding Priorities:

  • Support for people with experience of the criminal justice system – Projects that help individuals develop skills and access sustainable employment.
  • Assistance for underrepresented groups – Initiatives addressing gaps in support within the criminal justice system.
  • Empowering young people – Programmes supporting those up to age 25 who face barriers to opportunity.

Grant Types:

  • Small Grants – Up to £5,000.
  • Main Grants – is uncapped, but you are advised to research typical grant sizes previously made through their Charity Commission Annual Reports.

Upcoming Deadlines

  • Thursday 13 March 2025   (to be considered in June 25)
  • Thursday 3 July 2025   (to be considered in Oct 25)
  • Thursday 13 November 2025  (to be considered in Feb 26)
