TheGivingMachine Community Grants

TheGivingMachine, a UK-based charity, offers quarterly Community Grants to support good causes across the country. Each quarter, eight grants of £250 are available to UK-based organisations with an annual turnover of less than £1 million. These unrestricted funds can be used flexibly to support a variety of activities, from purchasing equipment to enhancing services or covering operational costs.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to registered charities, schools, Community Interest Companies (CICs), Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs), social enterprises, and other not-for-profit organisations.

  • Organisations must be based in the UK with an annual turnover under £1 million.

Application Process:

  • Applications are accepted 1st to 31st October.

  • Successful applicants are selected at random, ensuring a fair and diverse distribution across sectors.

  • Grant recipients are notified within 14 days of the application period closing.

  • Funds are transferred within 28 days of the application period ending.

Post-Grant Expectations:

  • Recipients are required to engage in a brief follow-up conversation with TheGivingMachine team to discuss the grant’s impact.

  • Organisations must provide a photo and a brief description of how the grant was utilised and its benefits.

This initiative aims to support a wide range of causes, from homelessness and veterans’ support to children’s services and animal welfare. For instance, previous recipients have used the grants to provide meals for veterans, upgrade school play equipment, and offer support to families facing food insecurity.
