About Every Man for Each Other

Every Man for Each Other is a non-judgemental free service for those who are male and have been impacted by domestic abuse. The organisation provides a safe space for men to discuss their difficulties relating to abuse and help them on their journey to recovery. Every Man for Each Other hope their groups can provide those impacted with reassurance that they are not alone in being a male victim of domestic abuse.

VODA’s Development Support

Every Man for Each Other’s Chair, Jonny Larman, got in touch with VODA when the group were struggling to obtain approval of their application to become a Registered Charity from the Charity Commission. The group had been in existence for some time but they were ready to develop their organisation further by becoming a Registered Charity.

Rebecca Williams, our Governance Advisor, helped the team of Trustees at Every Man for Each Other to redraft and resubmit their application and the organisation was awarded registered charitable status in July.

Jonny described working with VODA as: An absolute pleasure. From start to finish they have been amazing. We simply could not have achieved what we have without them. We would recommend VODA to anyone organisation for advice and support.”

Having obtained charitable status, Every Man for Each Other are now planning to provide as much awareness and support to those who identify as male and have experienced domestic abuse in the North-East, and then further expand nationwide. The organisations also aim to train other organisations across the country on how to support survivors of domestic abuse who identify as male, both in group and individual formats.

For more information on Every Man for Each Other, please see their website.
