Community Choice Programme

New £1,000 Community Choice grants open for health and wellbeing charities

A new funding opportunity has launched for small charities and community interest companies (CICs) working to improve health and wellbeing.

Thanks to players of The Health Lottery, the Community Choice programme is offering 10 organisations the chance to receive a £1,000 grant. The funding is designed to be a quick and simple way for smaller organisations to put themselves forward for support.

Nominations are open from Monday 2 February at 9am until Friday 27 February at 5pm, with successful organisations selected at random.

Who can apply?

Community Choice is open to charities and CICs that:

  • Improve health and wellbeing in England, Scotland or Wales

  • Have an annual income of £300,000 or less

  • Have been running for two years or more

  • Have a bank account in the organisation’s name

This opportunity is aimed at smaller organisations that are making a difference in their communities and could benefit from a flexible grant to support their work.
