CRASH

CRASH assists homelessness charities and hospices with their construction projects by sourcing on their behalf pro-bono or discounted professional expertise and materials. It can also award cash grants but only in combination with expertise/materials.

All charities:

  • Must have a legal interest in the building, unless the application relates to requesting professional advice regarding a building they wish to lease or buy
  • Need to own the freehold for the building or the lease (with five or more years to run for hospitals and ten for hospices)
  • Construction has not begun and will not be beginning within the next two months.

In addition, for homelessness charities, the building should be currently delivering / will be used to deliver services (at least four days a week) to single homeless men and women (aged 18+) and hospices must use the building to deliver in-patient and or day services to people in need of end-of-life care.
